Why is our heart deceitful above all things? <\/p>\n\n\n\n
5 Thus says the Lord: \u201cCursed is the man who trusts in man And makes flesh his strength, Whose heart departs from the Lord. 6 For he shall be like a shrub in the desert, And shall not see when good comes, But shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, In a salt land which is not inhabited. 7 \u201cBlessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose hope is the Lord. 8 For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit. 9 \u201cThe heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it? 10 I, the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind, Even to give every man according to his ways, According to the fruit of his doings. (Jeremiah 17:5-10) <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Why is the heart desperately wicked? <\/p>\n\n\n\n
We MUST be aligned with God. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Because our heart can steer us towards ungodly decisions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
As a man thinks in his heart, so is he… <\/p>\n\n\n\n
7 For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. \u201cEat and drink!\u201d he says to you, But his heart is not with you. (Proverbs 23:7) <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Where we put our trust… will dictate where our heart goes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
If we trust in man & make flesh our strength, our heart departs from God. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In order for our hearts to depart from God, we must put our trust in anything else BUT God. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our lives change when we decide to fully trust God. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
When we trust in the Lord, & our hope is in the Lord… we shall be covered by God. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
We won’t fear when heat comes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
We will not be anxious in the year of drought. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
& we will not cease from yielding fruit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fear may try to attack, but we won’t when we focus on Jesus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Anxiety may try to come upon us, but it has no power when we focus on Jesus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
There will be no lack from yielding fruit when it’s the Lord that continues to provide. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The weapon may be formed but it will NOT prosper! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
We MUST trust in the Lord will ALL our heart, acknowledge Him in all our ways THEN He will direct our path. (Proverbs 3:5-6) <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Trust God with all your heart. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Don’t always trust your heart… because it’s deceitful above all things. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Trust God & may He work on you from the inside out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
