When we talk to unbelievers, the conversations are not the same as speaking with other brothers & sisters in Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There is wisdom in winning souls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our ability to know the difference between milk & meat… but also to mature so we can share the simplicity of the gospel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We have to speak to people with where they are at.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is the power of the Holy Spirit & knowing God’s word.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We must know God’s word because there are patterns to how God speaks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201dBut the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.\u201c I Corinthians\u202c \u202d2\u202c:\u202d14\u202c<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We must get discipled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You want to win souls, but you are spiritually immature so you\u2019re trying to win debates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Winning souls is what the spirit of God desires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Winning debates is what the flesh desires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The flesh & the spirit of God are constantly warring against one another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
& as we start our walk, we are still growing in Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
12 For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food. 13 For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. 14 But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. (Hebrews 5:12-14)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A few keys around understanding how to talk to unbelievers about God:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Work on your relationship with God. Walk with God. Whispers from the Holy Spirit. Wisdom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
#1 Work on your relationship with God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. (Matthew 6:33)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It’s hard to help someone that is drowning when you’re drowning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You MUST work on your relationship with God above all! You are the representative of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
& most of the time it’s your LIFE that people inspect the fruit of.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Make sure your lips & living are preaching the same message.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
#2 Walk with God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
9 This is the genealogy of Noah. Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God. (Genesis 6:9)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Noah found grace in the eyes of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Be a person who constantly fear the Lord & wants to acknowledge God in all your ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Walking with God is moving with God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If the Lord tells you to be still, you’re still operating in obedience with the Lord.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
#3 Whispers from the Holy Spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. (John 14:17)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We need to hear the whispers of the Holy Spirit, because He is the Spirit of Truth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Lord can speak through a few different ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dreams\/visions Situations People<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But the best way God speaks? Through His word.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
#4 Wisdom<\/p>\n\n\n\n
30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, And he who wins souls is wise. (Proverbs 11:30)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Knowledge – information Understanding – revelation Wisdom – application<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We must APPLY what we learn and receive from the Lord, that is real obedience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
